The Q&A for Matt’s talk will\u00a0 be at 20:15\u00a0 on next thursday evening july 2nd.\u00a0 – if you’re not already on the techtalks mailing list please contact techtalks@hovercraft.org.uk <\/a>for an invite.<\/strong><\/h6>
As more people resume work we are further reducing the frequency of the techtalks from fortnightly to monthly from July.<\/strong><\/h6>
The new format is that a techtalk is premiered one week, on thursday evening, and then the Q&A to discuss it is on thursday of the following week<\/strong><\/h6>
The junior techtalks Q&A are also moving to monthly from July. The next junior Q&A will be at 1700 on\u00a0 thursday 25th June<\/strong>.<\/h6>
The first nine techtalks are also available on the HCGB Youtube channel – check schedule above for details.<\/strong>
A number of future techtalks are in preparation. The aim is that a regular series of techtalks will be continue permanently.<\/strong><\/h6>

What was it all about?<\/strong><\/p>

Techtalks have evolved to become a useful vehicle for worldwide information exchange amongst hovercraft experts. – but this was the original scheme for the Covid-19 lockdown :<\/p>

In this time when we can’t meet physically we’ve set up a way to meet virtually. The HCGB is holding a series of weekly video sessions, focussing on a different hover-techy subject each week.\u00a0 We are also holding parallel weekly video sessions specifically for juniors. As a service to the hovercraft community worldwide non HCGB members are welcome to join in.<\/p>

Each week a new techtalk will be available on the HCGB Youtube channel from tuesday evenings at 2000 (British Summer Time) . Then on thursday evenings, at 2015 BST there will be an interactive Zoom meeting where you ask questions of the presenter and discuss the presentation generally.<\/p>

For the junior techtalks an A4 quiz sheet is emailed out to juniors on mondays each week for them to work on at home and on the thursday they all get together to go through the answers etc on their own interactive Zoom meeting at 1600 BST<\/p>
